Adrienne

As she said, we met at a Board of Health meeting regarding homebirth in Nebraska, an issue we’re both working on. Adrienne is the first 43T person I’ve met in real life. I hope we’ll have the chance to meet again as we continue to work on this.

I met spoko on Monday, July 24th at the Nebraska State Board of Health Meeting in Lincoln. We were both there to support the legalization of allowing midwives to attend homebirths. Mostly women attended, he was one of our very few male representatives that shows this is not a single-gender issue as one might expect.

Adrienne seems like such a natural, friendly, loving individual, a nice person to get to know more.

Today I met my first person from 43things, pioneerspirit! She also happens to be a bookcrosser, so I managed to goals with one person.

Pioneerspirit is a lovely person who is very enthusiastic about life and living it. She was a joy to talk to, and had me quite at ease during our visit. An hour went by much too quickly and unfortunately, I needed to return to work.

I look forward to another visit at the Mill or lunch with her.

She’s a bookcrosser and we have the same personality type! ENFJ - and only 3 of us so far on BCUK with this! Katweeble is the other one – I’ve met her and she’s great fun!

We live close enough and share enough interests, (kids, dogs, bookcrossing, 43t, maybe same community in terms of work and my dh’s work) it seems like this could actually happen.

I admire her ability to getting her PhD in Chemistry, while being such a thoughtful, conscientious and devoted mom. ANd her goals indicate a thirst for self-cultivation that I also admire and like.

Kudos to you, Adrienne, I’d be honored to meet you. Let’s have coffee at the Mill soon? Or up by oldtown, I love that little french bistro!

We met via BCUK, and I really enjoy reading her journal entries here and her notes there. I’d love to give her a hug and tell her she is beautiful in person.

She started the Lose Weight club here from BCUK. But, I also love her entries via other things. I’d love to get to Germany and I’d really like to meet Helen in person because she is so fun to talk to on the ‘net.
